BentallGreenOak obtains planning permission for 110,000 sq ft office scheme at 78 St James’s Street

BentallGreenOak (BGO) has secured planning permission from Westminster City Council for a significant refurbishment and extension of 78 St James’s Street.

The new scheme, which is set to be completed in 2021, will offer Grade A accommodation across floors of up to 18,500 sq ft, as well as new amenities including a business lounge, changing facilities, wellness suite, and a new rooftop pavilion extension and external terrace.

According to development director at BGO, Alexander Morris, “78 St James’s Street will be delivered into a core West End market where there has been little speculative development of late, particularly of buildings with large footplates. This will provide unrivalled amenities and an office environment in a truly unique and characterful setting, which surpasses the needs of the modern office occupier.”
