A project by Great Portland Estates, at 33 Margaret Street, is set to be taken one step further by ISG, the company which beat off competition from Wates, Overbury, Mitie and Como to carry out a high-spec fit-out for property consultancy Savills.
The property was originally three buildings and has now been amalgamated into one. Savills will take seven storeys which will be upgraded from Cat A to Cat B specification by ISG. The end result will be a property benefitting from solid timber floors, lacquer and fabric panelling, polished plasterwork, bespoke veneers and natural stone, specialist wall coverings and fabric/timber acoustic ceiling finishes.
And the work will be done in super-quick time. The project is to be a fast-track, 18-week fit-out programme, and worth £7m to the contractor.
More than just an impressive, cosmetic finish, the specification will include specialist technical aspects: a large mechanical and electrical package comprising specialist lighting, small power and data infrastructure and efficient chiller and condenser units.
